Lampe Weaving NV - Belgium. Design and manufacture of air-jet loom,
jacquard woven, dyed and finished fabrics for mattress ticking and
curtains. Also, coating and converting services.
Lampe Bioticking n.v. is a manufacturer of Belgian mattress ticking
with weaving facilities in Torhout (Lampe Bioticking) and Ieper (Du
Chateau Ticking) and a finishing plant in Zedelgem (Lampe Finishing).
As mentioned above, all production plants are located in Belgium.
To assure our customers a faster and better custom-related service, a
warehouse was established in Stoneville North Carolina, namely Lampe
USA, Inc. and another one in Valencia Spain, namely Tejidos Lampe, S.L.
The company used to be known as Lampe Tape Weaving n.v., but since the
introduction of the revolutionary new mattress ticking called
Bioticking® in 2003, the company changed its name. As the finishing
production is now much more environmental friendly, a new image was
also chosen.
The company has a patent pending on the
ticking as well as on a
mattress made with that ticking.
Lampe Bioticking n.v. offers fabrics made
of different yarns such as
cotton, polyester, polypropylene, viscose, flax, wool or a blend of one
or more of these.
Colours can be chosen out of a wide palette to brighten up the textile.
Our designers are looking forward to translate your dream into the most
exclusive designs. Several additives can be added to the fabrics to
obtain properties such as fire retardancy, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial,
anti-dust mite and water and oil repellency.
The quality of the Bioticking® has been tested thoroughly by Centexbel,
the independent scientific and technical center for textiles in
Belgium. Test reports can be obtained on request.
Bioticking has been tested for harmful substances according to ?ko-Tex
Standard 100 and meets the human-ecological requirements of the
standard presently established for decoration material.
Both weaving departments have the latest weaving machines such as
Picanol Omni Plus and Somet Mythos TEC equiped with St?ubli Jacquard
machines.
The Finishing department also invested in new machinery in 2002 and
2003.
Although back coating and dip coating are still possible, this
department specialized in scatter coating and laminating, which is
totally new in mattress ticking.
Lampe USA, Inc. is also a member of ISPA, the International Sleep
Products Association. Our latest developments were succesfully shown at
the Interzum Fair in Cologne last May 2003.
As the sky is the limit with Bioticking®, the next developments will be
demonstrated at the ISPA 2004 in Indianapolis (Indiana) from March 24
till 27, 2004.
Besides mattress ticking, Lampe Bioticking is also weaving tablecloth
and fabrics used to manufacture curtains, blinds, romans, pleated and
verticals. The best of our window decoration is shown at Curtain
Valley, an exclusive shop for home decoration in Torhout, Belgium.

Scutt & Coles - UK. Design and manufacture of classic style printed
furnishing fabrics for curtains, blinds and upholstery, from cotton.

Scutt and Coles is a privately owned textile design firm, designing,
manufacturing, and supplying exclusive furnishing fabrics to the
Interior Design trade. Launched in the Autumn of 2001, the business is
run by Rod Scutt and Belinda Coles, a brother & sister team.
Recently exhibiting their first collection "Darnia" and as a first time
exhibitor at Design Interiors 2002, Scutt & Coles were fortunate enough
to be awarded the first prize for the 'Best Soft Furnishing Collection'
at the show. The award was sponsored by the Association of Master
Upholsters and Soft Furnishers and was judged by a panel of four judges
made up of practising contractors and designers. One of the judges,
Michael Gilham, from Gilains of Ilford, summed up why Darnia won first
prize, "Darnia featured timeless designs of the past in bright fresh
colours with a co-ordinating check. We felt that their Cascade trailing
design was particularly attractive." Scutt and Coles is a member of
Anti Copying In Design and the British Interior Textile Association.
