Cransford Polythene Ltd. - Polythene bag and film manufacturers.
Extruders and converters of sheeting and tubing.
We have been established over 10 years, We manufacture polythene
packaging, refuse sacks, heavy duty sacks and sheets, from the LDPE
granules, right through to the finished item.
We have three extrusion lines and can extrude film from 8" x 250g up to
40" x 500g Layflat or 43" with a gusset.
Our Printing press can print film up to 600mm wide and various repeat
lengths up to 30". currently in one or two colours only.
The final stage of manufacture is the bag making process. We can offer
three types.
Firstly a bottom weld machine. This machine is commonly used for
standard large sacks, for example refuse sacks or rubble/garden sacks.
these bags have a weld near to the bottom.
Secondly, we have a machine to roll garbage sacks onto rolls of 10 to
50 as required. This machine is used exclusively for rolls of Refuse
Sacks labelled for retail sale.
Thirdly, there are the Side Welded bags. This process welds and cuts
both sides of the product at the same time, hence the term "Side Weld".
Side weld bags are generally the smaller and thinner ones, used for
such uses as packing sandwiches, bread, fruit and vegetables or other
small items that are relatively light.
We are located on Parham Airfield in Suffolk in the south of England,
U.K. We have not to date sold product ouside of the U.K but we would
welcome enquiries from such places subject to reasonable total order
value. Our warehouse/factory is approximately 12000 square feet total
and we have eight employees. We are situated in the heart of the
countryside and are lucky enough to be able to say that the view from
our office window is nothing but green fields with almost no buildings
and yet only one mile away the main A12 trunk road passes by.

Seevent Plastics Ltd. are a well established, independent company,

We are one of the few companies in Britain able to micro-perforate
polythene, which is especially relevant in the children's product
market. The perforations mean that a child could still breathe even if,
unhappily, it placed the bag over it's head. Many enlightened packers
now prefer to use micro-perforated bags, rather than put their trust in
printed warning notices about the danger of suffocation - remember,
young children cannot read.
We produce heavy-duty sacks capable of taking the most demanding of
contents. From prepacking coal, sands and aggregates, to peat, soils
and composts. We also make sacks suitable for extractors and for heavy
duty liners.
We produce polythene bags, for all possible uses, plain or printed,
either end weld, side weld or skirt-side weld, which can be supplied
with or without punched handles, punched holes, euroslots, lateral
seals and micro-perforations.
We produce sheets of polythene for wrapping a variety of different
products, such as sausages, fresh produce and for box liners. Polythene
sheets are also used for other purposes such as banners, box top covers
and pallet wrap advertising.
We produce film on the reel, which can be supplied as Single Wound
Sheet, Centre Folded Sheet or Layflat Tubing, either plain or printed
to your requirements. All of these can be micro-perforated.
We produce carrier bags, either plain or printed on one or both sides,
in a range of bag and print colours. These can be supplied with various
types of handles; punched, patch, rigid, clip-close or rope.
