Fabio Murga Acebal founded Talleres Fabio Murga, S.A. in 1934. Since
its creation, the firm has produced and marketed a wide range of
products, as a natural result of the enterprising character of its
founder.
Moreover, It has only been in recent years that production and
marketing has been concentrated, practically exclusively, on one of the
products first manufactured several decades ago: "steelshot and grit".
The current image of Talleres Fabio Murga, S.A. is that of a modern and
dynamic business, part of the world leader group of producers of
steelshot and grit, with one of the largest production capacity in the
world, capable of producing some 100,000 tons per year.
Our factory is located on a site of 37,000 sq.m. where it occupies some
15,000 sq.m. The factory has 6 induction furnaces of 5-7 tons each,
which makes our production very flexible. We also have 30 hardening
furnaces, 6 tempering furnaces and more than 30 mills to grind round
steelshot and grit into angular shot.
In the latest years, we have made the necessary adjustments to the
production process in order to adapt it to the new and demanding
environmental standard.
