At SPL Limited we pride ourselves not only on being a world leader in
the import and export of exotic foods from five continents, but also
on our ability to provide our customers with products eagerly sought
by their customers, including an attractive range of own-label
products. We already supply extensively to large supermarket chains
and other multiple retailers, as well as cash & carry groups,
manufacturers, catering wholesalers and the ethnic community.
SPL Limited was founded in 1956 by Mr. M.
Simon and is currently being
run by the second and third generations of the family. Therefore, as a
private family business, we can offer personal service, yet the
company is large enough to do business on a worldwide business with a
range of 3,000 products, including specialist canned vegetables,
exotic fish products and an Aladdin's cave of specialist foods from
around the globe. If you cannot find a food product elsewhere, then
come to SPL - we probably stock it! Our large, 10-acre site at Oldham
includes a 100,000 sq.ft factory and warehouse complex. We have our
own rice mills and specialist flour mills and our own fleet of
articulated vehicles delivering throughout the United Kingdom and
Europe.
Our state-of-the-art manufacturing
facilities, which are constantly
updated, help SPL's skilled and well-trained workforce to package the
foods, whether it be in 100gms sachets or 1 tonne bags. Even bulk 38
tonne tippers pose no problem. We have our own weighbridge to check
goods in and out and all relative health and safety systems are in
place, including traceability of all products from the grower to the
end user. We are particularly pleased to offer our customers the
opportunity to have all the same high quality products packaged under
their own brand names-whether it be noodles, spices, rice or any other
items contained within our product range. We would be delighted to
