Beldem - Worldwide producer and supplier of food and feed ingredients
such as enzymes, emulsifiers, bread flavours, sourdoughs, yeast and
yeast extracts, malt extracts and starters.
BELDEM is a subsidiary of the PURATOS Group and was founded in 1975 to
supply the high quality emulsifiers produced within the group since
1955 to the entire food industry.
More recently, strategic developments in the field of ingredients led,
in 1994, to the creation of FRIMOND a manufacturing facility for
enzymes and sourdoughs.
A very recent step forwards the development of high- value
biotechnological products was made at the end of 1999 with the
building of a brand new yeast plant called Gelka International.
Because of the growing success of these ingredients, on January 1st

Unbar Rothon specializes in the development of seasonings, essences

Weishardt - Gelatine manufacturer offering gelatine for the food and
pharmaceutical industries.
GELATINES WEISHARDT was founded in 1839 in Dijon (France) and at the
time the company produced skin glue. This glue was used in the
furniture industry.
In the early 30's, one of the Weishardt brothers decided to build a
factory near to a source of raw materials. He chose Graulhet, in
south-west France which had a flourishing leather industry and could
supply bovine skins to Weishardt. The other advantage was the very
pure and abundant water which could be drawn from underground reserves
as the water used in the production of gelatine must have a very low
mineral content.

Henningsen Nederland B.V. processes and
dries many varieties of meat
and poultry into ingredients for food manufacturers. Those food
manufacturers can be:
Dehydrated soup producers

The dried meat and poultry products (with a moisture content of 5%
maximum) are produced on two different types of dryers: a spraydryer
and a semi-fluid bed airdryer. On the spraydryer powders with a very
fine particle size are produced. The name of these products starts
with "Powdered".
On the airdryer products in granular form and coarse powders are made.
The granulars can have different sizes and their names start with
"Dehydrated".
For some products, a.o. chicken and pork, it is necessary to stabilise
the fat in the product, to prevent rancidity. This can be done, upon
request, with BHA and Propylgallate or with Rosemary extract. If
chicken products are stabilised by Rosemary extract, "AR" is put at
the end of the name.
Henningsen has a standard range which provides the basis for numerous
recipes, and is always happy to give specific solutions to individual
problems, so that tailor-made ingredients can be supplied for special
products and production processes.
