Althea S.P.A. - Italian manufacaturer of pasta sauces and other
condiments.

Althea S.p.A. was founded in Parma in 1932. In the 1950s and 60s, it
established itself as one of the most dynamic companies in the Italian
food industry, launching enormously successful and innovative products
such as Sugoro (the first ready-made pasta sauce), Fiordagosto and
Cremifrutto.

Purchased in the middle of the 1960s by Unilever, it was reacquired by
Italian entrepreneurs at the beginning of the 1990s. In 1997, Althea
S.p.A. was bought by DELFINO S.P.A. of Acerra (Naples).
A rapid period of economic integration and restructuring has allowed
Althea S.p.A. to coordinate, from its headquarters in Parma, all of the
commercial and research and development activities of Delfino-Althea,
whose combined sales in 2002 reached a total of 44 million Euros. This
financial record carried the firm into the ranks of the most important
European companies of ready-made sauces.

Arisi Giacomo S.N.C. - Manufacturers of Italian specialty and pasta

Arisi firm, originally a family owned oil-mill, is placed in the North-

firm operate with the strictest hygiene standards, having in place
HACCP Plan. The continue and correct application of HACCP Plan is
further on checked by external biological laboratories authorized by
the Ministry of Public Health. Particular attention is put on the
controls of raw material to avoid the presence of anti-
parasitical,aflatoxines, ingredients genetically modified, strict
limits are also placed on the total microbiological count of them.

Stangl Vegetables - Pickles in different varieties - German pickled
cucumber producer.
The company is located in Bavaria in the middle of the biggest
cultivation area for cucumbers in Europe.
The family business has started with the cultivation of cucumbers to
pickle in 1990.
Because of a large quantity of too big grown cucumbers the family
business decided to manufacture cucumbers to sticks by itself in 1994.
1996 the company expanded production to manufacture staeckers.
