Brand-Rex, the global supplier of structured cabling systems, is
celebrating today following their success at the Networking Industry
Awards 2003. Brand-Rex's project, carried out with Bailey Telecom at
the Commonwealth Games 2002 and using the GigaPlus Millennium
solution, won the Installation Of The Year title, beating off
competition from fellow finalists Mitech (for Systemax) and Comunica
plc (for HSBC).
Brand-Rex and Bailey Telecom worked closely on the project which
included not only the full implementation of a structured cabling
infrastructure for the two-week sporting event, but also on-going
maintenance and trouble-shooting to ensure the Games went ahead
without a technical hitch.

Estron came into existence only a few years ago, when Lars Elg?rd and
Allan S?rrig, started their own company based on outsourcing. They
made a framework agreement with their former employer Oticon A/S, and
in this way became a subcontractor. So, estron started out basically
with one customer to whom electronic components for hearing aids were
supplied.
During the years, extensive resources have been allocated to the
development of new production equipment, always with the aim of
improving product quality and services.
And, in order to expand employee skills and make them equal to the
demands of the business, further education is invested in
continuously.
Today Estron employs a staff of 16 people, and the original framework
agreement still exists. However, production has been centred around
the manufacture of ultra-fine litz wire, which in single strand
diameter is finer than the human hair.
Estron a/s will continue the strong emphasis on ultra-fine litz wire
development to improve and expand the product line, and to this end
estron will continue the co-operation with e.g. hearing instrument and
loudspeaker manufacturers for input and feed back during the
development process.
