Swallowtail Boatyard - Boat builders using GRP construction. Also, boat
restoration and boats for hire in Ludham in Norfolk, UK.
Colin and Wendy Buttifant personally supervise their family run
boatyard. Delightfully set by the river, just a few minutes from the
pretty village of Ludham in Norfolk, with its quaint thatched cottages
set around the imposing church. The boatyard is ideally situated on the
river Thurne, for sailing holidays on the extensive waterways of the
Norfolk Broads.
Colin is a builder of high quality boats which furnish his hire fleet,
and which are in great demand by private owners. He is currently
finishing off Bure Classic number 8 and has started Womack Classic

Using only the highest grade materials, the hulls of both these boats
are GRP, the cabin sides and cockpit are Mahogany and the bulkheads and
decks are marine grade ply, they are finished to an extremely high
standard.
But if the Classics are not what you require, it is not a problem. The
yard, and its employees, is capable of using their experience to cater
for your needs.
