Acal Electronics is part of the financially strong the Acal PLC. The
group has extensive international operations and had sales in the year
ended March 31 2001 of ?325 million (2000, ?245 million). The group is
a leading value-added distributor, dealing with many international
suppliers and blue chip customers. It comprises 23 principal trading
companies, 11 of them in Europe, and employs around 1000 people.
