SIRS Navigation Ltd. - Designs,
manufactures and repairs magnetic
compasses, sextants and other navigation instruments.
SIRS Navigation Ltd have been designing, manufacturing and repairing
Magnetic Compasses, Azimuth Circles, Sextants and other Navigation
Instruments for over 30 years. The Company supplies its products to
Military, Commercial and Private customers Worldwide and supports
applications for Aviation, Marine and Land based use.
In 1993 'SIRS' acquired the sole rights
to manufacture and distribute a
range of Marine compasses that were previously manufactured by
"Sestrel".*
In 1994 the Company acquired the "Aircraft Standby Compass" business,
previously owned by Smiths Industries and known typically as the range
"E2B" or KCA 0104W .
In 1999 the company developed the Navigator & Pegasus Compass range for
aircraft use and became the sole supplier of magnetic compasses to
Airbus Industrie. During the same year, a military hand held Prismatic
Compass, type G150, was acquired from the company 'W F Stanley'.
SIRS Navigation Ltd., continually design and develop new products,
utilising Computer Aided Systems to ensure that the products are up to
date and cost effective for the Year 2000 and beyond.
Following continued success with sales and resultant expansion, the
company moved to a new and larger location in June 2002. The new
facility has been purpose designed to ensure that the company can meet
the requirements of customers in the future years.
